Wouldn't it be nice to be able to update your web site with just the click of your mouse?

We have designed a software solution called '"Quick Link" which is embedded into the Web Manager and allows you to automatically connect your in-store computer to your web site. For example, when you add a piece of inventory to your system (title, subject, medium, dimensions, price, etc. - even a digital image) you can simply click a button to have that information sent to your web site.  When the piece sells, the system can remove it from the web, or mark it as sold for a period of time and then remove it.

Of course, you can select which pieces are on the web, and which are not.

What does this mean for your clients?  They will always be seeing the most up-to-date list of pieces you have available.

What does this mean for you? No more hassle and no more large consulting fees associated with maintaining your web site.

Web Site Template

Of course, if you already have a web site, our engineers can use the work you have already done. We will fold in our "Quick Link" technology so that your "Virtual Gallery" is easy to update and maintain.

If you do not have a site, Web Manager offers a selection of templates. Instead of hiring someone to create a customized web site, users upload their pertinent information automatically (company logo, address, and hours of operation, etc.) from the Business Manager. Within an hour, a user can have their own site without the added expense, time, and training normally required to create and transfer information to a site.  Once the site is created, updating the site takes only moments.

Custom Web Address

We can register a new domain name for you, or transfer your existing domain.  If you have already set up www.yourname.com, we can make all of this happen without you losing your domain.

Web Browser

If you have a dedicated data line for your Internet Access, a web browser can be opened automatically when Business Manager is started. If you do not have a dedicated line, the web browser can be opened with the click of a button.

This helps you in two ways: First, you don't have to open a second browser (i.e. Internet Explorer) when you want to go to the Internet.  Second, you can set up the system so your own web page (or any other site) makes the background screen.

Disk Storage Space and Data Transfer

It's simple. If you're using Quicklink to update your web site, your disk storage space is Unlimited. You can upload as many images and titles to your web site as you like for the same low monthly fee. And, your clients can download pictures and information from your site to their hearts content, because there are no data transfer fees either.

SSL Secure Server

SSL (secure socket layer) allows you to collect data such as credit card information from your web site in a secure environment.

Email

Web Manager has two plans offering a specified number of email accounts. The Artist plan includes 5 email accounts and the Gallery plan includes 10. Additional email accounts can also be purchased.

Not only can these accounts be used for a specific person (i.e. jeff@business.com) but also as a means to route call-ins (i.e. sales@mystudio.com, info@mybusiness.com.).   For generic email addresses (i.e. sales@mystudio.com) we can set up auto-responsders that will automatically reply to incoming email acknowledging receipt of the sender's message .

Broadcast Email

As part of the normal day-to-day point of sale operation, the Business Manager captures a customer's email address (if provided.) This feature allows you to broadcast email to designated clients.

For example: a retailer may wish to send information about a new piece to all clients that had previously purchased a similar piece, or who live in a particular region. The Business Manager will generate the list and the Web Manager will coordinate the broadcast, without any extra work by the retailer.

A powerful database engine designed to provide fast access to the web page data.

Web Statistics

Statistics allows you to track web usage statistics such as what domains are accessing the web site; how many hits to the site, and how much data is being transferred.

Hosting System Design:  

Primary considerations when selecting a Web Host are security and dependability. The technical solution built to support Web Manager includes the following factors:

  • Security - The concept of security was a primary consideration in designing the system. Both the LAN and WAN network designs incorporate and utilize hardware (router and socket level security) and software (firewall) security measures to maximize security of all devices. In addition, the internal operations of core devices behind the firewalls are configured to operate with each other, transparent to outside users. Further security measures include encryption of data, standard Unix and NT server security, the use of secure usernames and passwords, and SSL.
  • Growth and future potential were also important factors. Servers, storage capacity, memory, and hosting capabilities now in place have been designed to be easily scalable to accommodate future growth.
  • Redundancy - The network design calls for all web and storage devices to be fully redundant with hot cutover capabilities should any device fail.
  • Network Utilization has been carefully analyzed to plan for customer demand. The web equipment is co-located at an Internet Backbone facility with a DS3 (45 Megabits/sec) connection to the Internet. This facility also has battery backup for power.
  • Experience - Our Chief Technical Officer has been involved in leading-edge, internet technology for the past eleven years with MCI/Worldcom!
