Printing Envelopes usually requires setting up your system one time
to match your printer.
You need to do this from the computer that has the printer installed or
mapped to it.
Labels and Reports are very similar in how they function and how to modify them. We recommend you read the following topics in addition to this topic before doing any modifications. See the Modify Report Layout, Modify Label Layout, Add Toolbars to Reports, Show Builds and Variables, and Report Functions help topics for more information on modifying reports and labels.
Begin by opening the report layout. Go to Tools, Modify, Report Layout, a selection form will open where you can double-click on ENVELOPE to open the Envelope Report.
After you open the Report, click on File, Page Setup.
The window that opens will allow you to modify the Printer by clicking on the button Print Setup.
Use this screen to set the paper orientation and paper size.
In this example we will assign a Printer to a Ticket.
Go to Tools > Modify > Report Layout or Label Layout.
Double-click the Report or Label you want to assign a Printer to.
Which will bring you here …
Go to File > Page Setup.
Click on the button “Print Setup”.
Choose the drop down for Name and select the Ticket Receipt Printer.
Choose the drop down for Size and select the paper size.
You may have to experiment and try different sizes to find the one that works best.
After choosing the Printer and the paper size click the OK button.
Click OK again on the other Print Setup window which should bring you back
to the report.
Click the X in the upper right corner of the Report.
You will be prompted to save your changes, click the YES button.
Note: Always Backup the Reports after you finish modifying and testing them so you have a backup of your customized reports.
